Join us for APTA Iowa's 2026 Legislative Day! This year, there are separate events on February 25 for practicing members and student members. Please only register for the event that most applies to your membership type. Legislative Breakfast | Practicing Members Only Chat with legislators over breakfast in the Legislative Dining Room! Admission is free. This event is scheduled from 7:00-9:00 AM. Student Day on the Hill | Students Only Students are invited to begin their day at The Iowa Bar Association for an education and advocacy session. Attendees will then travel to the Iowa State Capitol for a group photo and meetings with legislators. A complimentary boxed lunch will provided to each attendee. Admission is free. Student Day on the Hill Agenda: The Iowa State Bar Association 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. | Registration and Lunch 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. | Legislative Overview and Advocacy Training Session 12:30 p.m. | Walk to Iowa State Capitol 12:45 p.m. | Group photo on steps in front of the Capitol (weather permitting) 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. | Meet with Legislators - 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. | Meetings for northern half of the state

- Meetings will be on your own at the Iowa State Capitol. Please contact your legislator in advance to set up a time to meet with them.
